University of Tennessee To Expand Online Degree Programs With Noodle Partners

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, today announced a partnership with Noodle Partners to launch 10 online programs over the next three years. The majority of offerings will be at the graduate level.

“We are excited to help more Tennessee students pursue successful careers with compelling, accessible programs that encourage engagement among students and professors.” said David Manderscheid, Provost of UT. “Noodle Partners’ experienced team and innovative model make it the ideal partner to make that happen.”

Matthew Theriot, associate provost for faculty development and strategic initiatives, is in the process of creating an online program advisory committee to prioritize which online degrees to launch, planning for a minimum of three per year for the next three years.

“I’m thrilled to grow our partnership with the University of Tennessee,” noted John Katzman, CEO of Noodle Partners. “The provost’s vision, UT’s incredible faculty, and our team’s expertise will transform how the university educates Tennesseans and others from around the country and the world.”

Noodle Partners is the fastest-growing online program manager (OPM) in the country. The company creates innovative online and hybrid programs while improving traditional classroom models. It was founded by education and technology veterans to work with universities on every aspect of building a certificate or degree program.

UT’s Haslam College of Business currently works with Noodle Partners on the online Master in Supply Chain Management degree, which will launch this fall.

“This will certainly be a driver to help the state meets its Drive to 55 goal,” said Mandersheid. “We hope an undergraduate degree-completion program may launch later in the three-year cycle.”
